Yeah it's real tough for them on the road. Large blindspots, doesn't start or stop easily, and crazy drivers having a death wish for themselves or others really doesn't help.

Yes, I hate irresponsible drivers. Like they don't think about how small actions can end up killing other people (or themselves).

You could always ask why they don't want another dog. If it's for heartbreak reasons (like they don't want to go through another loss) they will usually come around because they'll miss having one around. I know I need a break after these dogs pass. We have three, two huskies and a cattle dog...
