    They can survive more than a day without water. Otherwise shipping chicks would be impossible

    Have someone come and check on it or something. They hatch with enough nutrition to go a couple days without eating. You can't just have it out of an incubator while it's trying to hatch though

    Warmth isn't the only issue. If it's too dry, it will be stuck inside the shell and unable to actually hatch.

    It needs to be in the incubator while hatching. It will be far too dry just in your hands
