Hello,
We have this incubator and it has a vent with an on/off switch. Is this for airflow or humidity control? Should it be closed during lockdown?

The more they develop the more fresh air (oxygen) the chicks need to breathe. The first week or so of development that doesn't apply but as they go along they need the oxygen. So later in the incubation period and during lockdown and hatch that vent should be open. I leave mine open from Day 1.

With that vent open air will escape from the incubator. That reduces the humidity inside since moist air is escaping. That is just something you need to deal with. Keep your humidity up, especially during lockdown.
