• !!What is a float test!! •

In my knowledge, a float test is where you place the eggs in a bowl (deep) or bucket of water to see which ones stay on the bottom, and which float. If they float, it means the air cell inside the egg is larger, and that the egg is older and/or not fit to eat. I always pitch the floaters. Keep in mind, fresh eggs will lay on the bottom. I think there is a test for hatching eggs to see if they are still alive or not (after incubation for a period of time) but I am not familiar with that float test.
