Inside the brooder can we I allow my 4 day old chicks to run around. They are already running around but not sure if I should let them! Can they burn to much energy and stop growing?

The water and food has been inside the nesting box. The chicks and mother have had water and food since they have hatched. do you think the mother will still stir on the eggs if we move her. She isn’t that friendly and will put up a fuss whilst moving.

Yes I agree! They could be a lot of different breeds. My first guess was like a bar e elder goldlaced but I’m not to sure sorry

Wow! I have some of my own too. If I had a yellow one I oils name it sunny or sunflower… it would really depend on what colour it will be when it grows up, also its breed. Have fun with your chicks. Btw did they hatch in an incubator or with a broody hen? I would like to know for my sake please!!!

Thanks for your advice! My hen is not relatively friendly so do you think she will still let my kids and I touch the chicks. I will still let them be with her and she can mother them but from time to time I would love to spent some quality time with them. please send what you would do. Honest...
