Hi all.
Jumping on an old post here but basically for the same advice, different cause.
Our Runner Duck is a house duck and one of his 'quirks' is that he is an obsessive preener. This causes him wear away feathers and they end up snapping.
For context he is a rescue egg with a complicated...
Hi all
My runner has a persistent cut on the middle joint of his middle toe, photo attached below
It started last summer when he 1st started going for walks (long story but he's a house duck) so we got him a pair of shoes which he wears every time we take him out and this stopped him from...
My runner sneezes all the time for a various reasons. Usually to clear his nose when he something is it. This can be anything from dust to food, or whatever happens to have tickled it. As mentioned about, if there are no other symptoms (ie runny nose) I wouldn't worry too much.

Its approx 1.5cm wide by just shy of 1cm tall. The feathers...
Yes we only have the one. Its a complicated situation and a long story but the long and short of it is that he's heavily imprinted on me and thinks he's human/dog. Not what we planned but you do what you have to do when a little life is a stake. He won't go near another duck (we have tried to...
He has to investigate and be involved in everything. Has his whirlwind hour then falls asleep at my feet, then goes off to terrorise something else for an hour, and the pattern repeats all day 🥰
Hi all
My little runner duck is now almost 8 months old. He's become a house duck and a minor celebrity 😄.
Just wondering if ducks go through a 'Puppy Phase' or will he be a mini terrorist forever.
He's got a checky nature and loves to get into everything
Sorry to jump on such on old thread but I have found it both worrying and funny. My Runner duck is a house duck and the things he eats (or tries to) is unreal! One favourite is bits of tinsel (my children have an obsession and I find it 12 months of the year) but as mentioned with the string...
I am having a bit of a panic. My 3 weeks runner duck has just done the photed poop. Part of it is bright green, mint like in shade, with little red red bits in a ball in one end. Lettuce seems ok in him/herself do I'm just wondering if its something he/she had eaten. I haven't noticed any other...
