I dont know the answer to your question but i introduced 2 new hens to my flock yesterday and Im in the same boat as you. My rooster was less than welcoming.. his neck feathers stood on end like something out of jurassic park and the rest of the hens looked like ninja chickens as my son called...
My hens are all skinny so my vet suggested worming them. Ive never seen worms in there poop they arent ill. The vet said dont eat the eggs for a week can these eggs be hatched out or should I just bin them?
Thankyou for your replies. I was pretty sure myself they were fertile but Im so new to this I wanted to check.
My roo isnt even crowing yet, infact I was still secretly hoping he isnt a roo.
I wonder why he doesnt crow
Well my afternoon of cleaning now consists of an afternoon in the loft...
do you think these eggs are fertile? I didnt think my rooster was old enough to .. well perform
My hens not been laying long so I didnt think i needed to worry about the blood?
As much as I find this thread hilarious, one thing that never crossed my mind was that you are an idiot. You thought your hen was possibly sick laying strange eggs and you posted on here for help on how to fix it.. How does that make you an idiot???
We and I say we because we have all been...
