I never try to incubate double yolks. They never last through incubation and always hear they don't hatch well too.
Thank you for the info, I wasn't sure if it was siamese or if the body just wanted to go crazy and have 2 heads.
Thank you. I have it in alcohol right now. I rinsed it off and put it right into a jar. This is only my second 2 headed chick/duckling I've ever hatched. I wasn't expecting it when I opened the egg at all
When is it that you call something wrong with the flock? I get eggs weekly from a farmer to hatch ducklings and so far out of almost 100 I've gotten 2 deformities. One could be explained due to crested being in his flock, brain outside of skull with deformed beak. The other I just found today...
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. Been busy but good. Had a lot of ups and downs, hatching a lot, but also loosing alot from foxes, hawks and coyotes.
I'm excited to see what comes out. These came from the cackle hatchery. First brown egg to hatch and I am stumped on breed. No feathered feet that I can see.
I got a person's flock for free. They got these as chicks from the cackle hatchery. I have all tan egg layers except 2 and I know it's not them. The brown one throws me off due to the feathered legs
