It's been a couple of months and I am happy to report it was just a new hen and her crazy chalaza.

I saw that too. After eight years of having chickens I am always learning or seeing something new.

I did. It pulled apart like chalaza and when I really look at the pic it looks like its connected to the chalaza? Both eggs came from the same hen and she just started laying this past month. None of my other hens had eggs like this. it was just weird.

I don't see any segments if this is a worm, and they are only about 7 months old so I don't know how they could be that heavily infested???

This was a first. Opened up two eggs and found this stringy white thing. Chalaza??? Any ideas? New laying hen.

My sweet cochin...what is happening back here? It looks like a swollen testicle sack. She had poop stuck in her feathers so I gave her a spa day and let her soak in warm water for about 10 minutes. I cut away the poops and when she came out this is what she looked like. 😳 What is going on...
