Does anyone give scratch grains or wild bird food to their quail?

I agree, but keep in mind...if your birds are on the ground they have access to grit that is needed in the crop to digest the seeds. If your birds are on wire, offer some free choice chick grit along with your scratch grains...IMO

What do you feed your Quail?

Glad you added the mileage disclaimer, proteins that high for extended periods will kill a quail. Everyone who said 24%-30% non-medicated game birds starter is good, follow that advice. Depending on your area and where you buy feed at the bag may say for turkey, quail, pheasants, chukar, etc...

My backyard Coturnix coop and urban farm

Nice coop! For a male female ratio, you can go as high as1:6. 4:7 is way too many roos. You will have a lot of fighting and hens getting worn out and plucked bald. 2:7 isn't even bad...but I'd move at least 2 more of your roos to the bacholer pad. Again, great looking housing!

    Snowflake Bobwhite Quail Anyone?

Not so rare...except this time of year for eggs. Aprophet is correct, hey are just a bob with a different color mutation. housing is just the same with bob's. Off season, covey or group housing. Breeding season, put in pairs or trios with room or your white birds will turn red. Bob's are...

    Sick Quail? Help?

L, I think it's MG as well, from the description of fluid from the mouth..snorting, sneezing, etc. That is one that is not curable. They might stop showing symptoms, but will always be carriers and transmitters. MG is a very bad, contagious disease. Two choices as I see it...one cull everything...
