I like whole systems design, our home is approaching zero net energy with solar, heat pumps and electric cars. our yard is a mixed recreation and urban homesteading. we gather our rainwater and irrigate our gardens/orchard using a pump and network of spigots. my kids are in 4-H Poultry and Rabbits and attend an alternative public community school where grades are mixed and parents are compelled to participate. we spend a week a year living at the Evergreen State Fair participating in shows, life is a trip! We have lots of critters, like reptiles and fish. We have a garden Tortoise and two cray dogs.
