I didn't notice an odor while holding her. I'll try to get better pics of her today. Didn't see anything other than the dark/black on the inside as well as the outside. I'm going to look into some of the things you mentioned. Thank you!

Thats what I thought. Now that it's drying out it's turning yellow in the middle like the same color as dried egg yolk

This morning when I checked there was a little piece of the same thing inside the shell of a soft shell egg.

So I'm just seeing this. The pic posted looks just like her down to the funky looking (but very beautiful 😊) comb. She lays olive colored eggs tho.

So now my other silkie is broody on this same nest. I went out with the intention on moving my original broody girl inside like we talked about before. But now I'm not sure what to do!?
