    Speckled sussex hen or roo

All of these are potato. Even if it's a cockerel maybe some good insight into hormonal changes and if this bird will just flip and no longer be as friendly.

    Speckled sussex hen or roo

I purchased 6 speckled sussex from a straight run at tsc. Compared to my barred rocks sexing these guys is next to impossible. It started with 4 having their tail feathers come in and 2 kinda being much slower. So I kinda guessed 2 cockerels to 4 pullets... not the most exact science and it...

3 geese. 1 getting the snot kicked outta him

It seems they really only get into it at night so i was locking him up in the brooder box we built to keep him from the others. I let him out of the brooder box during the day and he seems to be doing better. Injuries seem to be healing well and no further instances. But we just moved and no...

3 geese. 1 getting the snot kicked outta him

I dont really have a place to separate him too thats why i was thinking it was just time to make dinner. Since that was their purpose in the first place. The only place would be with the chickens and im not really sure he will enjoy that as the roosters might be meaner than the gander.

3 geese. 1 getting the snot kicked outta him

So i ordered 3 geese last summer they are suppose to be 3 male french toulouse. Well i suspect one may be female. The one i suspect is ever so slightly smaller than the other 2 and has always hung back away from me when i have hand fed them. My suspicions are only getting stronger at this point...

    Treating with corid assumed cocci...

It was I went into these meat birds wanting to do what is right by them and raise healthier happier birds than the grocery store. But in all honesty he would have been picked off by a predator had i not intervened. So I feel good about trying at least

    Treating with corid assumed cocci...

We ended up euthanizing him. I nursed him for 3 weeks he started getting better but it was a ton if plateauing and he started getting some mobility but just wouldn't weight bare. But he started attacking me when I'd feed him and was just getting kind of mean. He was already so far behind the...

    Treating with corid assumed cocci...

Sorry it was really hard to formulate and tell the process while my child was screaming at me to pay attention to her. But at first i thought it was heat due to the situation and then I was looking into things and coccidiosis came up when browsing the forum here. I looked it up and the boxes...

    Treating with corid assumed cocci...

Ill make this a long story... so my meat chickens were in their brooder and were 3 weeks old. They are freedom rangers and not cornish x if it matters at all. I had to go run to my parents house and didnt check on them like i usually do i was gone about 2 hours. I came back and immediately...
