This happened to me at TSC 2 years ago. Got this baby out of the cornish cross bin to save him cause I know that was not what he was. I think he is a bantam serama or something like that. he was a small gray chick when he was a baby.
I can't believe its been a year and I haven't posted this thread yet! So, hear it goes:
Clover & Blossom - EE, 1 week old today, both pullets
Dandelion- Barred rock, 1 week today, unknown gender
Bard- Cuckoo Marans, 1 year, rooster
Napolean, Serama, 2 years, rooster
Zaria, Cuckoo...
Oh and a friend might give my 6 white leghorns if they start making too much of a mess... Wish I would've known before I got 3 more... Will probably build another coop. Chicken math gets the best of us.
Sorry, I just saw that you replied! She is one of the prettiest I've seen! She should be a show chicken! With me integrating and combining flocks all the time, the pecking order moves a lot and my hens don't look as pretty!
Ok, so I currently have
10 red stars - turning 1 yo
4 cuckoo Marans - turning 1 yo
1 Serama - turning 2 yo
2 well summers - turning 2 & 6 yo
1 frizzle EE - 8 yo
3 EE- one 6 yo, 2 1 week
1 Gold wyandotte - 7 yo
1 barred rock - 1 week
I would like to expand my flock to 30 or 35 when we move...
Supposed to be a Plymouth Barred rock according to the guy at the feed store. I will post more photos later, it's probably too soon to tell anyways. Thanks anyways!
Sorry, yes it's a barred rock chick, forgot to add that. That's what I thought. Was supposed to be a sexed pullet but looks and acts like a roo. I could tell even before I read about the dot thing as the rooster chicks I've had in the past have smaller, less fuzzy heads.
