Try taking a picture of the feet next to each other, then look at the photos later, perhaps with a better monitor. Sometimes seeing a picture makes subtle differences obvious.
Hmm, I don't remember, but the key really is the leg color. Speckled sussex have very white legs which may look pink when young. Hope that helps!

Hi, reviving an old thread with a picture of a semi-frizzled chicken I hatched (and sold to a friend). This is a blue tolbunt project pullet.
Normally, the frizzles that I hatch are very frizzled. This one just looks like the feathers stick out a little bit -- neither smooth nor fully frizzled.

My friend says these are roosters and I'm not completely convinced because I have never raised partridge rocks (hatchery stock).
