I hear you. The tornadoes started just east of us, here. I actually followed the big one in to Kalamazoo on Tuesday.
I hope everyone is alright! It was wild. Lots of damage out there, best to you guys and rebuilding. We'll miss you, but that's more important.
@Dreamzchaser I'm so excited that the oregano you gave me last year has started to come up in my herb garden. I for sure thought I killed it last year when I got home.
Hiiiiiii everyone! I've been so super busy. My stepdaughter got married in Greece (Santorini) two weekends ago, so we had an unexpected 10 day trip to Greece. I got my first passport stamp. The wedding was beautiful, overlooking Santorini and the caldera (the sea where the volcano erupted). She...
I agree with @uchytil Everyone, please bring 1 item for raffling off! Nothing too expensive and please make it farm/chicken related. That's a great idea! I will bring music. Is anyone doing hotdogs or burgers? I can handle bringing buns, pickles, condiments for that.

Birds are doing really well. I've actually been working with my "aggressive" rooster and he is starting to trust me and the flogging has...

I am using crumbles.
I don't mind billing out. I have the 5 gallon bucket with the port-holes, but my issue is it seems like my feed gets stuck and condenses at the bottom so it doesn't "flow" properly.
I like my feed. It's just the right balance of everything and is milled locally. But that might need to be the solution while I am gone for a few days.
Feeder woes. Seems my feed is a bit too crumbly and clogs up the bottom of the feeder. Thinking I need a new one, something large but will still fit in the footprint of a 5 gal bucket. Any suggestions?
Does anyone have recent numbers of AI in Michigan? The US Geological Survey and the USDA both stopped reporting numbers in 2022. Does anyone know of anything more recent? @Folly's place ?
Well, I've been gone for a bit but wanted to update quickly. My tiniest girl (Rocket) passed away yesterday and super quickly. My cousin is a former Large Animal vet and with all the AI news these days, she finally convinced me to let her take her to MSU for a necropsy. I'll have an update...
