    frizzle pheasant possible

They get the same food as all my birds. I give them egg maker crumbles. Even the quail are eating it. I found they actually eat that brand and the other things I've tried they kick most of it around and it's pretty wasted. At $10 bucks a 50 lb bag, I'd rather feed 'em what they gonna eat ALL...

    Quail egg problem-- any suggestions

Okay a little history--- I have a table top incubator that has hatched about 4-5 hatches of birds. It does well and there have been no problems. Our birds started laying a lot more (like 24-28 a day), so we got a much larger incubator. The larger bator hatched out the first 3-4 hatches fine...

Let's have a "crazy" neighbor contest!!

Thankfully I have long left this neighborhood. However, the horrific memories have yet to leave my memory. I lived in a housing apartment complex where some of the apartments doors faced each other. The porch was along one end of the house and a little brick wall seperated your front porch...

    Breastfeeding in public

Quote: Science has shown that fecal matter can show up on toothbrushes kept in the bathroom up to 6 feet away from the toilet. AND YOU WOULD RATHER A BABY NURSE IN A PUBLIC RESTROOM!!!!!!!! That's disgusting to think about!! Geez to brush your teeth in your own bathroom is one thing-it's...

Okay... This works best on an ex...and during the middle of summer... but perhaps could be altered to another situation.... like on the carpet under his bed (or on his matress under the sheet, sprinkled with some water from a little sprayer... While the moon is high above the horizon and the...

Probably the dumbest canning question EVER!

Okay, I just read something that stopped me in my tracks to getting a pressure cooker. I was planning on geting one this past weekend but had too much company to go shopping, so it will be this coming Friday. I have canned tomatoes and such using the hot water bath 2 years ago, put up 15...

    Teen chickens?

I have 17 'teens'. They have learned to dig from under the coop and get out. They are worse than a cooped up puppy for digging their way out. Every afternoon when I get in from work it's chick catching time...I have found that the dip net works well since they can be super fast runners. My DH...

    which end is up??

The person I am getting some eggs from told me that you place pheasant eggs small end up while incubating. I thought all eggs were placed small end down, espically if you have them resting in egg cartons during the incubating. I was also told that it is okay to leave the eggs turning right up...
