So recently we gave 4 eggs to our broody silkie hen to hatch out. 1 Ayam Cemani and 3 Hedemoras to be exact, but I have a question. I like to form bonds with chicks so as they grow they won't mind being handled and other stuff like that. So I was wondering if I could take the three Hedemoras...
To young to tell the gender quite yet or the breed...Could you take some pictures of the parents? It might be easier to identify the breed. And what are you going to do with the chicks you caught? And where did you put them?
So I have a friend in Australia and I've recently sent her a package containing a few treats (Maple syrup, Caramilk Bar, Cookies and Cream Hershey's bar, Some Ketchup chips, cinnamon gum, and some chewy maple syrup toffees) I'm from Canada so that's why there's so much maple syrup involved food...
Looks like the yolk sack is somewhat soaked up and is inside a very thin layer of skin. Do what @chickens really said and make sure no sharp objects are near the chick.
Could you provide a picture a bit more close up? Hard to say if it had a yolk sack hanging out or it's skin is very clear and you can see the yolk inside. @casportpony @Eggcessive @chickens really
