    Ok, update: She was soaking for almost an hour and there's no progress... if anything she's worse. I still can't feel anything through her vent, but I'm pretty sure there's an egg, but it's stuck in the region below her cloaca, I just can't physically feel it with the gloves. :/

    I have a 3yr old RIR hen that I found standing pinguin style in the coop tonight. I checked her vent with a glove and could feel any egg, but her posterior abdomen is hard. I'm giving her 1mL of calcium glucantate orally and have her inside for monitoring. Any suggestions on what else I can do?

    We were feeding our gosling waterfowl specific feed, but he still needed the extra niacin boost since he had wobbly legs. Nutritional yeast was a really affordable way to supplement that. Just mix it in with the feed (:
