Quick question about Blue Laced Red Wyandottes..... I want to raise this specific color and I know I will need to cross a Black and a Splash to achieve 100% Blue offspring. Does that mean I'll need a black laced roo and splash hens or does it matter which is which?

This one is nearly six months old. I would expect him to be bigger and crowing by now as a Buff roo.

Hi all! I’ve got a chicken that I’m wondering about. I’m leaning towards hen because he/she hangs out with the other hens and hasn’t crowed yet. But her legs are longer than the other hens. Any opinions? And any idea what breed?

Update on my mystery roo......took a new picture today. Does everyone still think he is a Silver Laced Wyandotte? He doesn’t have much silver 😂

I bought the hen as a chick at Tractor Supply so I doubt it’s a Cemani unless it accidentally got in the wrong box at the hatchery. She is the exact same size as my Australorp hens but her coloring is so much darker 🤷‍♀️

Hi! Ive got a young hen that is a mystery to me. She is completely black! Even her comb is a light shade of black. Can anyone help with her breed?

Hi! I bought some Mystic Maran chicks but I’m thinking they were mislabeled. They came from Townline Hatchery and they show pictures of mostly black adults. I don’t think these white babies are going to turn that black 😂😂 Any ideas?
