The coop itself is 4ft / 3ft and I took out the nesting boxes because they don’t use them yet to provide more room. Run is 7ft by 3ft at the moment, but I let them out around 6am every morning to free range until 8:30pm or nightfall.

I love my chickens and they’re pretty friendly, but I was just curious on what your guys’s experience with friendly chickens were. What breeds have you found to be the most sweet and friendly?

I trained mine to jump up on my shoulder. Became a bit of a problem when I wore tank tops with three chickens trying to squeeze on one shoulder…

Haha! One of my chickens is named Tupac for that exact reason!

It really gently wraps around the base of their neck and under their wings. Some may squat at first, but they learn to walk with it.

Just curious on how your guys’s chickens show affection to you (if at all). I have SGEs and they are very friendly with me and love attention and to perch on me.
