Update on Tina. As of yesterday she started eating some normal organic layer crumbles out of my hand! For the last three weeks she's had zero interest in the normal food. Also normal looking poops and no lash eggs. We're still not out of the woods yet but this is definitely a positive sign!
Hi all!
I thought you might find these videos helpful on how to tube feed chickens. For reference, I use the Pretty Bird Hand feed.
2.4 pound silkie got 20 ml/cc three to four times per day
5-6 pound hen got 30 - 40 ml/cc three times per day
Check crop first to see if there's anything in...
Update on Tina - 2.4 lb silkie
On May 16th I was finally able to get into my normal avian vet. She did a bunch of bloodwork and a fecal. Tina needed support for her kidneys. She also had tape worms.

Oh no, I'm so sorry! Dr Jeanne has a form, it's not for emergencies, but she gets back to you right away. https://avianhealthservices.com/contact-us.html
Contact Dr Jeanne to make sure you get the dosages correct. Two capsules a day is way too much. Two capsules lasts me quite a few days and you have to dilute it to the correct strength! You can go to any drugstore and ask them for a syringe.

You also need to make sure the strength of the antibiotics you get matches what I got or you...
