    How is the drake doing now? I've read somewhere that they do change when breeding season comes in, usually to a deep red color, and they will get pale if something isn't right, like a deficiency, or an injury....

    And when I started searching for this online, I kept seeing the silkies with their 5 toes, but his are not placed like theirs. His looks to me, like a foot grew from another foot. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I'm sorry if this should go somewhere else, but I didn't see a better place to put it. My neighbor has a rooster that his hen hatched about 2 months ago. It looks like it is growing 2 extra feet on top of its regular feet. I don't even know how to explain it, unless you've seen the movie...

    I'm not an expert, by any means, but I have read that if the female has a reproductive issue, and becomes infertile, she will grow a "dangler", a drake feather, start with the froggy quack(like froggie from the little rascals), and turn into a drake, IF there aren't enough drakes around already...
