I have a hen that consistently lays gigantic, double yolk eggs, daily. I can’t imagine how this isn’t going to kill her. These eggs are ridiculously huge. I feel so bad for her. Is there anything I can do to help her? I’m including a photo. She sometimes lays eggs even larger.
Thanks for taking the time to explain a bit. I’ve been researching a bit , but I haven’t seen any pics that look like my bird’s tail. I haven’t been able to scoop her up for closer inspection, but I’ll keep trying.

I’d say she’s somewhere in the middle of the pecking order. I am ignorant about the preening gland 😕. What can I do about it? How can I tell? She is a pretty skittish bird. Maybe dropping in on her after dark?
