    ISO Naked Neck Hatching Eggs

I have not 😭 I decided to buy some from eBay, but I’m not convinced I’m going to get what I bought. It seems like NO ONE has any Turken hatching eggs. I even searched the internet to try and find any farm who has them. If I do, I’ll definitely share where I found them with you!

Heat plate burning Naked Neck head?

I have a week old turken in my brooder with a heat plate. I’m pretty sure it’s resting its little head against the top of it and it’s gotten a burn on its head. I’m afraid to raise it up higher because I thought you wanted their backs to touch the heat plate? Should I raise it? Move her to a...

    Assuming pet/hatchery quality silkie?

Here’s another chick I picked up from rural king. I got it out of the polish bin not paying attention to the feathered feet. I’m assuming this is just a hatchery quality silkie? Only has 4 toes but has the black skin with feathered feet…. Unless it could be something else?

    What breed?

That’s what I was leaning towards. Thank you!!

    What breed?

Can anyone help me identify? I got this little chick out of the bantam bin at Rural King. I tried looking at hatcheries, but just don’t feel like I can really pinpoint the breed.

    Who could be the daddy??

Unfortunately, my previous roo was a golden laced polish. Current roo is his offspring who is mixed with a lavender orp hen. So, I'm not exactly sure how well I'll be able to tell which offspring belongs to which roo. Now I really wish I had 2 totally different colored roosters in the mix...

    Who could be the daddy??

That's kind of what I was figuring. Thank you!

    Who could be the daddy??

I have eggs set to hatch on Sunday. I got rid of one of my roosters about 5 weeks ago and have since had my ladies with a new rooster. Both roosters have actively swooned the ladies, but obviously my newer rooster for the last several weeks (he was raised in the pen so just took over once the...

    Extreme case of Wry Neck

I tried for about a month and a half with the above methods and hand feeding my silkie. She never showed an ounce of progress and didn’t make it. I wish I had a better outcome to report ☹️

Golden Laced Polish x Lavender Orpington Hen

@NatJ this was an absolutely amazing response. Thank you so much for going into such detail and explaining all of this. It’s so fun learning about genetics but I realized today how much I have to learn. So just to make sure I understand - if I were to breed my polishxorp roo to my salmon...

Golden Laced Polish x Lavender Orpington Hen

Last fall I hatched some eggs from my Golden Laced Polish rooster and Lavender Orpington. I didn’t realize that the lavender wasn’t a dominant gene, so I was quite sad when all three babies hatched black. I have two hens and one rooster now. See pics below. My roo is mostly black with some...

    Extreme case of Wry Neck

I appreciate you responding. She hasn’t shown major improvement, but I’m trying to be patient and give it time. She will eat out of my hand now so I no longer have to force feed her but she can’t function in her own. I do have to force her to drink water and give it to her via syringe being...

    Extreme case of Wry Neck

In my original message I said I’m giving vitamin e with selenium paste pea sized amount 3x a day and poultry cell 1cc 2x a day. I also syringe feed egg yolk/water with a little b12 added - about 1/2 a CC. Sorry if those amounts aren’t clear, I was following instructions someone else had given...
