    Do you like MUSHROOMS!?!??!!

Mushrooms seem to be as polarizing as politics. LOL I love mushrooms. There are so many different kinds, and they're all different. Chanterelles are my favorite, but I love different varieties for different dishes. Straw mushrooms in stir fry, black fungus in hot and sour soup, white and...

    Dog thread!🐾

Charlie's mom looked like a chi/toy fox terrier cross. Nobody knows what the sire was. They owned the female and a male mastiff, but he wasn't the father. I'd love to get her DNA tested to find out.

    Dog thread!🐾

Pibbles don't seem to get much love around here, but I love my two sweethearts. Sophie, left, is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. Literally. She's turned people that don't like ANY dogs into dog lovers. I can trust her alone with baby chicks. She babysat our newborn baby goats while the...

    HI ALL !!!👇🏻 !!!

If you want a friendly and socialized bird, find a local breeder. The pet store birds are wild and unhandled and it takes a lot of effort for most of them to become friendly and tame. As far as speaking ability, it gets better the bigger the bird in the pet store varieties. Parakeets are a...

Help .. squirrel attack and injured my duck in cage

I was able to see it better today (recently had surgery on both eyes) and if you watch when she turns around away from the camera, you can see the narrow (rather than bushy) tail dragging behind her. It does look to be a weasel, and that's exactly how they attack as they are carnivores with...

    Silkie saga

I only have two adults so far, a partridge hen and a white rooster. I've got 4 of their chicks in the brooder, i think two are partridge (chipmunk) and two are white. I've got a clutch of 9 in the incubator due to hatch around the 20th. Our little hen, Chanel, is a fantastic layer. She lays...

I love my silkies. Watching my rooster hop his fuzzy butt up the roost at bedtime is true entertainment.

Help .. squirrel attack and injured my duck in cage

Are you positive it wasn't a weasel? It is common for them to attack fowl and they're more predatory than squirrels. I enlarged the video on my computer screen, and all I could discern was what looked like its head popping up.

    My Grandmother's Potato Salad.

Our family potato salad will die with me unless someone is interested in carrying it on. There are two types that I make, normal American potato salad and Jamaican. The Jamaican potato salad is similar to American, but Miracle Whip is used instead of mayo. No pickles are added, but they do use...

    Aggressive Pullet?

I recently bought an Orpington hen that barged into my peaceful flock like Godzilla ransacking Tokyo. I tried to pet her in the coop and she bit my thumb. She had my whole thumb! I drew back and tried again but was quicker than she was that time. But when she moved to strike again, I bopped...
