It is supposed to be better if your eggs contain Omega 3, so how do we get Omega 3 into our eggs or know if they already contain it?

I have been washing out the eggs shells and removing the membrane for our chickens like I read on here we should do. My question is why does the membrane have to be removed? Rather tedious sometimes!

I receved a catalog for chicken supplies and in it they suggest you add DE to your chicken's feed as well as sprinkling it in the hen house. Has any one done this? Is it necessary? Would it really be benefical to add it to the feed? My chickens are very healthy and we already give them crushed...
