Yeah, we stopped by yesterday but it seems we missed the sale of the chickens. It looked like they were packing up as we were leaving. I had no idea they did hatching eggs too. How do you find out about all that?
I’m looking at starting up my incubator. I would like to get some orpingtons, wyandottes, maybe even some Jersey Giants. I’m not really picky; I just have my favorites. I live in Georgia. Are there any somewhat closer states (shorter shipping) that may have something to offer?
I'm not sure if I can help...but I have a hen that has a growth on her foot also. It is soft and I've tried to drain it, and all that comes out is blood and a little water. And it doesn't seem to stop. Now she has just tried to stay off of it. I've read about bumblefoot and scaley leg mites...
I'm not sure if this will be of any help...but I would think if there are more little ones than the big ones, they should be ok. I currently have 10 9wk old chicks that I want to add my 6 wk old chicks to. There are only 6 6wk old chicks. And every time I try this, the bigger chicks pick on...

They were clear? Bummer I'm so sorry! How was the box when they came? But I'm glad you got some SLW. I hate that shipping can be such an influence on our hatches.

They are so fluffy and cute! I have some in our brooder right now too. I'm glad they hatched out for you. Were the other SLW clear or quitters or could you tell?
