Hi, yes that area you are pointing to was scabbed, i forgot to mention. 2-3 days ago we cleaned the foot, picked the scab off and tried to express any more puss etc from jt. We then cleaned off, wiped with rubbing alcohol and pitted a drawing salve on it and bandaged it up. The picture above is...
My Dolly is 1.5 yrs old, she’s heavier than my other hens so i thought maybe a sprain but it’s been a few weeks. I have her in a crate now during the day to heel and put her in the coop at night. We keep inspecting her foot but can’t seem to see anything. Thought I’d ask you all since I’m pretty...
My roosts are very low with hay bedding underneath. I never see what she does to hurt it but she’ll just randomly start limping. We’ve inspected the leg and can’t see anything and she doesn’t seem to be in pain but she’s definitely laying down a lot and limping.
Can anyone tell me what breed she is? I have 6 hens and she’s by far the heaviest and seems to have issues roosting and she limps at times probably bc she struggles jumping down from things bc of her weight. I’m wondering if she’s a meat bird bc she got big fast. She’s 1.5 yrs and i got her...

Hello. So we had a few weeks of normal eggs and last night she laid another soft one :-( Can you tell me the brand of calcium pills you get? are they hard or chewable? Thanks!
