I definitely relate to you over this!! I truly cherish my “free-range time” with my Chickens. It’s actual therapy for me! They are good little therapists… LOL!😉 Hmmm, I also have dealt with some bad neighbors as well. I hope with patience and consistency you can get thru to them. — I think...

Best times to free range and keep your grass green

So sorry! — I haven't been active here in about a month due to illness and I just saw your post. No. I wouldn’t say it’s grass. What I ended up using is really a Clover. I do highly recommend the seeds i mentioned. And, I do suggest Clover if you're amendable to that. It covers SO easily...

Omigosh- I believe it!! They literally have the time of their lives in those leaves 🍁; Don’t they?!! — We grab as many leaves as we can and our neighbors will help us by bringing us their fall leaves well… We still require Crop Cover seeds to help replace our garden grass

I’m sooo sorry. I just saw this response. I would look up your gardening Zone to see when it’s best to throw these Seeds down to grow. You can also search for seeds that don’t need full Sun. ☀️— Good luck! 🍀

I can’t wait to hear how it all goes!!! 🌱 Have fun! — My favorite is definitely the Miniature Clover; you don’t ever need to mow, unless you want a close cut, as it won’t grow taller than 4”

How many roosters did you cull before getting a good one?

A divided Run has SO many benefits and possibilities!! I wouldn’t have it any other way. When I first started out, I ended up having to make a “make-shift” Divider Run and it wasn’t the best. — When I had the chance to redo my whole set-up, by moving; I made dang sure I constructed a divided...

How many roosters did you cull before getting a good one?

I’ve found that the younger flocks within older flocks will kinda form their own “click” and I’m sure their young hormones have something to do with them preferring to be around the Roos; They also just naturally know that Roos mean protection.
