I know for sure it’s not vent gleet restrictions - her poop is normal in color and consistency. I will try your suggestion as soon as it gets a bit warmer here. Thanks for your input.
Interesting experiment. I am NOT an experienced chicken keeper, but I’ve used OdoBan for years around my home, and started using it to wipe down my coop(8 months old now). Thanks for sharing.
I tried waterless dog shampoo on a paper towel and succeeded in getting the large pieces of poop off her feathers, but she still has a lot more. Too many feathers involved to cut them, IMO. I will try coconut oil. Thanks.

I am a first time chicken owner- have 2 Buff Orphingtons, 2 Light Brahmas, a Copper Marans, and a Plymouth Rock, all about 14 was old now. Chickens sit on the provided roosts during the day, but still sleep on the coop floor at night. Normal?
