What did you do in the garden today?

I found a bread making machine in our closet. Wife's sister gave it to her years ago. Her sister did not use it much. Wife never used it. No manual so I looked it up online. I made a loaf of raisin bread. Best loaf I ever made. I see where it kneads it 18 minutes. I think that made the difference.

I sop up grease also. I also love what is left in the pan or corning ware if baked. I will cook down the liquid until it gets sticky. The gelatin. Lots of flavor.

Harlequin is the key to tri color. When paired with broken color. I bred my young albino doe yesterday. Her mother is broken black/white. She is either black or broken black under the albino. My buck is magpie harlequin = white and black. Carries orange under that.

Good to see you post about your rabbits. I am trying to learn rabbit color genetics to produce tricolor. So much different than chicken color genetics. I get such confusing answers. Everyone talks Allee letters but I feel they do not understand them very well.My calculations do not mach theirs...

Apple seeds need cool stratification to sprout. A natural winter. However the ones you buy are stored since harvest in cool conditions. I still keep moist in a ziplock in the refrigerator. Some are sprouting even in the refrigerator. I pot up the sprouts. I wish they would wait.

What did you do in the garden today?

Picked up a packet of cucumber seed off the rack. Seedless or parthenocarpic. Wanting to avoid misshapen fruit due to poor pollination. Used to grow sweet success but have not seen it in a seed rack in years. Packets usually do not say. So it is guess or research. I researched after I bought...

I want to grow something. I will predict an early spring. Winter is still kicking our butt into early February. So when the weather breaks I think it will be spring like.

It was a free replacement for a defective sensor. I have used that address with the credit card before but not with them. No reason for them to access that info.

What did you do in the garden today?

I now know why we need AI. Real intelligence is rare. Fedex driver walks right past a chair that says packages. Dexacom sent replacement sensor to my MN cabin. Never gave them that address. I will not be there until June. Had to resend to right address. Told guy to remove MN dress. Can't do that...
