So, turns out I accidentally got a Harlequin quail out of a group of Button eggs I ordered - and I love him so much I want more. Looking for about dozen eggs to try and hatch him out a girlfriend. Please let me know if you have any leads. Thank you!

Will they interbreed with Buttons? Right now he's in my Button Coop because that's where's been, but I am leaning heavily to trying to get a few more eggs and try to hatch a girlfriend for him. If I can find eggs at a reasonable price >.> I'd have to get a new coop or quail pen... so off to...

My incubator gave me a much better hatch than I expected! Now I have more chicks than my little yard can handle. I'm offering 4, well started 4-week old chicks (Straight Run) for only $10. You get at least 1 pure-breed Heritage Dominique (they look like Barred Rocks, but have a rose comb)...

No new pips, but after about 24 hours the chick is out of her shell and looks as healthy as I've ever seen. Good strong lungs - the thing likes to CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP but she's SOOOO cute.
