What do you think is the best to put on the bottom of a new chick brooder for day olds up to 2 weeks old? It would need to be lifted out, by brooder is 24 in x 48 in. heavy wood box. It would need to be tiny, right?

I think it is too early to tell, but I would guess a hen first there and then a Tom. One has bigger thicker legs and one has a bigger head too, he also has the bigger legs. Of course, they may not be the same age, but appear to be. Good luck, one of each would be good.
