I want to survey everyone here....
How much money do you put into raising meat birds?
How much food as money do you get out?
We have the barn, pond, and fenced in terrain. We have layers and pets..., how much should each chick or duckling or poult cost me before I feed my family?
I am in...
How and when did you butcher them?
I am new to meat birds but promised I would do it as my boys love meat and it is breaking the bank. So I have a farm refuge and a farm now..., just to confuse my children.
Can I buy any old sort, range them for the summer and then do it?
Did you pluck yours...
Melissamerry
You have given your ducks the most amazing life!
You take them on holiday with you and for excursions??
That is fantastic. It sounds like fun.
When the ducklngs are wee, they all start out in an old cat box..., I clean the litter out first!
As they mature we set up a small paddle pool, ours were donations from the local recreation centre.
We have a hockey pond..., when the ice mels it becomes a haven for frogs, mosquitoes, and ducks...
Which direction are you massaging in?
Does your duckling have any other symptoms?
I.e., temperature, water intake, food consumption, listlessness, solitary behaviour, et cetera.
The difference between a 'true' ameraucana and an easter egger is about ten dollars here in Canada. She is lovely, but for 'true' Ameraucanas her legs ought to be darker.
Right?

barred rocks have yellow combs and yellow legs, right?
males are slightly larger with reddening comb and wattle that, while it commences at perhaps six weeks, will continue to redden for another four months
