    Frontline ???

Well you can find the warnings about chickens and fipronil everywhere including the wiki page on fipronil, but the page with the actual toxic (deadly) dose is here. http://parasitipedia.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2686&Itemid=2991

    Frontline ???

Just a note, since I didn't see it anywhere else on this thread - fipronil is considered highly toxic to chickens and other galliformes (chicken like birds) Tests on chickens show an acute toxicity of only 11.3mg per Kg of chicken, vs 640mg per Kg for your dog or cat. Yes, that is 60x more...

How do you keep chickens from flying over the fence ?

You don't want to clip both wings. The clipping of the one wing (or pinioning - which is taking out a bone) works because the birds generally can't adjust their flight when one side is giving less lift. I would try clipping more feathers off of one wing first.

i love walmart b/c they sell chicken feed

Your screed against WalMart is a bit misplaced. First your 10% trade deficit is BS. Secondly WalMart used to sell quite a bit of American goods, and still sells some. It has gone down, just as it has gone down at other stores, as more and more of our manufacturing gets displaced and moves...

    Nest box size

If you feed your chicks eggshells you need to make sure they are cooked - as in eggshells from boiled eggs. If you crack the eggs for omletts you should boil the shell - that way the chickens don't get a taste for raw eggshell, and think it is OK to eat their own eggs.
