My hen has 8 baby chicks 2 /3 days old. They are growing pretty fast. How long will they all sleep under her at night and when do i move them out of the 10 x 2 ft brooder to the coop?

I think i see her feeding them pieces of dirt. She is picking up rocks, and (maybe biting of pieces of the rock?). i see them going up to her beak and it looks like shes feeding them pieces of the rock she picks up. or am i imagining this? it also looks like she calls them to get the food...

She just took a huge broody poop.:eek: I could smell it as i passed the brooder. Was so big..it looked like my German shepherds size poop. So i had to put on some disposable gloves and pick her up to clean it. One egg left. Gave me just enough time to grab the dirty bedding in one hand before...

Day 1 through 5 went super slow for me . Then I got busy and at day 14 I candled and thought I better move them out the coup, that made day 15 through 17 fly by and before u know it day 20 was here with chicks. Whewww!
