It's called "saddling" of the air cell, which is quite common from all of the commotion that happens during shipping - even shorter distances. I've had plenty successfully hatch with saddled air cells. I will say that sometimes the embryo can "hide" in the middle when you have saddled air cells...
I've got 28 potential babies set! I'm so excited to see what babies hatch from everyone's eggs. :jumpy
My 28 eggs include:
10 salmon favorelle
6 lemon owlbeard
6 lavender ameraucana
6 black copper marans
(Four of the salmon favorelle are in a second incubator until clears/quitters are removed)
Counting down the days to set eggs with you!!! :jumpy:wee
The eggs I have incoming are almost identical - Lemon Owlbeard, Lavender Ameraucana, Chocolate Emerald and Black Copper Marans(her breed line lays such a gorgeous example of shell darkness I couldn't resist).
I've decided my baby should be named Pepper. Since she is #12... and the 12th month is December... which hosts a lot of holiday flavors, like Pepper...mint. Hopefully she hatches with some extra "Pep" in her step! :love
I'm so sorry that it's been such a struggle this round!!
I would love to take #12 in place of the lost egg. Got all of the bad luck out of the way so you can have a perfect hatch :fl:hugs
