Leghorns are always great for egg production but depending on where you live it might get too cold for them. I absolutely love Golden Comets and almost any other Rhode Island Red mix will surely produce a ton of eggs, or even Rhode Island Reds themselves. Black Australorps are good layers too...

I mean probably not because it is from a hatchery, but is it possible she is a mixed breed?

She has yellow legs and a single comb I think, I will try to get some better pics tonight.
