I figured it will take 5 years of eggs to pay off what I've invested, lol. That doesn't even include the time I put into this project. My babies have to be safe and happy.

Another busy day working on the coop. I had some scrap wood so I made a chair with a roosting bar for me and my chickens.

I am in western Illinois near Iowa. I lived in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area last 14 years. Chicago is were I was raised when I wasn't spending time with my grandmother on the farm.

Just me and 2 dogs, 6 cats, dozen fish, 2 totes of meal worms and soon 5 chickens.

I need a ratio to make water mixture for chicks I will be receiving in a few weeks. I saw were raw honey and mother's cider vinegar are mixed with water for first few days.

Hello everyone. I just moved into a new house and have been busy building a chicken coop out of a child's play fort. I haven't had chickens in 30 years so I am very excited. My chicks arrive April 21 so I'm working everyday getting their coop and run ready.
