We have chosen to do NO herbacide or fertilizer. We recently applied corn gluten, The chickens eat it!
The grass - no weeds in our lawn are everywhere!!!!

I have a year old hen with a dirty butt. She is our friendliest hen and she is avoiding me.... She's always the one to run over and see what treats you brought her.

I can't see anything down its throat. I sounds like it is hoarse... I stuck her beak in the water to make her drink - she didn't like it!

I guess the pep talks worked (and no- I didn't threaten chicken soup!).
We have had 5 beautiful little perfect eggs in 3 days!!
Our girls are 19 1/2 and 22 1/2 weeks.
The most prolific layer is our Leghorn - she is named Sammy, just...
I was told not to wash them - just brush off the dirt.
Then I was told not to refridgerate them right away.
But I do want to refridgerate if they are fertilized - right?
By the way we are proud-egg-parents!!!!
