I just got these from Tractor Supply in the Marans bin. There were only three left. One is not a Marans and i know that but we took her anyway. Can anyone tell me what breed they are for sure?

An update... Yesterday mom and babies are doing great! They're out and exploring

Thank you SO MUCH. I couldn't sleep. I went out and candled the remaining eggs. There are no signs of life. I moved mom and the 4 babies to the dog house with food and water. From here... its up to mama! I really appreciate you helping.

Hi All, I need some advice. Sunday the firat of 7 eggs hatched. Three more hatched Monday (yesterday). None hatched today. I got the eggs from my friend, so i dont know exactly when they were laid. She told me they were a day old. I assumed they were all the same. Moms nesting box is up...

My nesting boxes are up off the ground. They are too high for babies to get in and out of. I need to move the broody and babies. Only one egg has hatched so far. When do i move them? Do i need to fence off a section of the coop for her and the babies?

Did it change your ability to handle your hens? Mine are very affectionate and i would hate to lose that
