Crop impaction/hard stuff in crop? Not improving after 1 week, desperate

Soooo it's been a week since these symptoms have started and a few days since I discovered that this was actually a crop issue. Here's my old thread for reference. Summary: Cookie, a 3 year old Tractor Supply Easter Egger has been lethargic, pale combed, having diarrhea and a messy bum, losing...

    Diarrhea, lethargy, and not eating

UPDATE: Cookie's crop is impacted. Checked again this morning and her crop was full and hard. I never really noticed before because she was only really eating eggs and water, so in the mornings it felt mostly empty and soft. She had lots of feed pellet mash last night (as in before I put her to...

    Diarrhea, lethargy, and not eating

Yet another bath today, seemingly no change in behavior from yesterday. I have work tomorrow so I won't be able to watch her as often, I'll make time to clean her if I need to though. Really need some advice here because I don't know what's wrong. Also probably worth noting that my parents got...

    Diarrhea, lethargy, and not eating

Update: I made one scrambled egg and mixed it with lots of water and dissolved some feed in it, and she is now eating and drinking the weird soup stuff ravenously. I haven't seen her with this much appetite since before she got sick. Still keeping her isolated and monitored though. She ate about...

    Diarrhea, lethargy, and not eating

Hi, thanks for the reply, sorry I didn't get back to you. I've been giving her daily baths to clean off her fluff, and then soaking in warm water with epsom salt for 30 min + massaging. I also gave calcium supplements daily because I heard those help with binding. She hasn't layed yet, but I...

    Diarrhea, lethargy, and not eating

Some things I've considered are giving a bath, isolating, feeding scrambled eggs or feed mash, and giving electrolytes water, should I do any of those or something else entirely? Also I have work again in 3 hours so hopefully I can do at least something before then.

    Diarrhea, lethargy, and not eating

Hi guys, one of my Tractor Supply Easter egger hens, ~3 years old, has been lethargic since yesterday morning, looks like she hasn't been preening her tail, and she has watery diarrhea and her fluff is all dirty from it. Her comb got paler than usual (she's always had a big floppy comb though)...

What ARE You?! Breed ID Needed... Again!! (9 weeks, black and orange-gold)

Age might be a bit off but yeah, need an ID of this mystery chick, yet again. Wasn't told what she was at the farm... Her name is Florence by the way. Flo!! So far my three known options, with most being disproven: - Gold Laced Wyandotte - Doesn't have the lace pattern - Barnevelder - Doesn't...

Name Suggestions for 7-9 week olds

Oh I love Shelly! I will be saving that one for the round of chicks next year :) along with Henrietta. I want the next round to be all funny names like that.

Name Suggestions for 7-9 week olds

Oh, wow I really like Florence! That one's my brother's chicken so I have to run that past him first, but I think he'd like it too! Also since we already used Gertrude for an old Leghorn we had a few years ago, can't use that, although I loved the name. I thinky "Lacey" is really cute too but I...

Name Suggestions for 7-9 week olds

Wasn't sure if this was the right category but oh well. We have 3 chicks, two 6 weeks and one 8 week. I think. They grow up so fast... But the girls need names before they grow up! The red one #3 already has a name (Stella), but the silver lace Wyandotte #1 and the black sex link (??) #3 both...

    Quick Frizzle Genetics Question

Thank you so much for this reply! I apologize for replying so late because I didn't get notified, and it was a busy night so I forgot to check back. It makes a lot more sense now, and I see that almost everything I got correct, except for the dominant and recessive part. Like I said, I was lost...

    Quick Frizzle Genetics Question

I did more research and I think I understand now. What I'm getting is that regular feathers and curly feathers are equally dominant over each other, resulting in frizzle being a phenotype/appearance of the two genes being mixed, NOT a seperate gene. Is that correct? Also I've seen a lot of...

    Quick Frizzle Genetics Question

Working on a project about Frizzle chickens for a school Open House and don't wanna look like a moron in front of the whole town so I need some help. I only have simple baseline knowledge of genetics so I don't understand the big words and I'm also getting a lot of mixed info. This is what I...

Black and reddish brown probably-rooster? (breed and gender IDing needed)

Hi, thanks for the reply! I definitely see the resemblance when it comes to 1+ week old Barnevelder chicks, but this one was all black with the brownish face when he was a few days old, which doesn't seem too common with regular Barnevelder chicks. Edit: I should add I'm using just images on...
