I never thought about that, although i imagine wild ducks dont live quite as long plus whatever food they eat naturally probably contains the niacin needed.

Thank you, i found a feed called Dumor Duck pellets its 20% protein and Niacin. Its the only one I could find and it was $25 bucks for a 50 pound bag so im hoping it works out. We'll see how they like it.
Thank you! We definitely love the ducks already. The person who had them before was just feeding chicken feed so i was really worried about getting them on the right feed.
I ended up going with Dumor Duck Pellet 20% protein and Niacin
Its literally the only thing i could find for ducks so im...
Hi! I just got a monstera deliciosa plant but am getting conflicting answers on whether or not to keep it. I have ducks, chickens, dogs, cats and goats.. ive heard its toxic but then also that animals will stay away from it. I need advice. Thank you!
Thank you for your response! We just got the ducks today so weve been trying to research as much as possible as quickly as we can and your post was very helpful:)
I just rescued 4 ducks.. 2 adult females and 2 that are 2 months old.
I need to know what to feed them. I have chickens and quail. But I know ducks have different needs.
I have chickens and chicks as well. I was told to feed all of them this food and offer oyster shell for the females that may...
Wednesday, is our maran hen, she hatched 5 barnyard mixes and we gave her 6 chicks from tractor supply... shes done well but she did pick out someof the chicks feathers at one point until we expanded her space. I dont think shes the one responsible for pecking their eyes but im unsure as she...
A couple of my girls feet look like this. I dont know if its bumble or amonia burn though. Also I don't know if its because they sleep up in the rafters and then jump all the way down in the mornings, they have a wood ladder roost but dont use it. So I may need to take those rafters off...
Thank you. Im trying to save her but shes now breathing very deeply and wont open her beak when I put liquid on it.
Thank you for your help, unfortunately she passed in my arms but she was very loved. I need to keep an eye on the rest of the flock. Hopefully no one else is sick.
My 8 month old hen is unresponsive, pale comb and wont open beak when I try to put liquid on it. Last night was extremely windy and loud with 40mph winds and a low of 35 F. All of my other chickens are fine just not her. I watched her fall off the roost and then just not get back up. She is...
I definitely don’t want her to choke.. I’m also worried it’s a neck injury In which case vitamins aren’t going to help. So far I’ve never seen her get picked on. For some reason all of the others just give her space. She can’t roost though so maybe I’ll just bring her in at night and let her go...
I don’t plan on culling unless she’s suffering. As of right now she’s eating and drinking on her own. She’s doesn’t roost though. Should I continue vitamins? Or try anything else?
