I have a lovely deleware who is a sweet, gentle girl. She is about 20 months, lays regularly. She broke her leg,it was a clean break, so I opted to attempt to splint..while it did not heal perfectly..she got it slightly out of line..anyway I have a blind old hen who is active doesn't lay anymore...
Personally, Meyers or Cackle ..and I will NEVER get oegbantams except from a breeder, preferably within driving distance or purchase a breeding pair or trio, shipped as adults ( exceeding expensive to ship, but I've begun to believe that, like seramas they are just too fragile to ship as chicks)
I took a severely injured hen ( suspect she was attacked by the flock because she was sick) she had been laying for the owner for 3 years..took forever to get her healthy, but she is blind and now a "he" she grew saddle feathers in after her last molt..doesn't crown but physically now looks...

Meyers always has heat packs..I didn't think they did on my for all of my shipments except my one horrible late may ( it was too hot temps were high 90s and heat index 108..I don't order for delivery after mid May through October 15th..
I have had 8-9 orders from Meyers in last 3 years, all of...
