    I have a lovely deleware who is a sweet,gentle girl. She is about 20 months,lays regularly. She broke her leg,it was a clean break, so I opted to attempt to splint..while it did not heal perfectly..she got it slightly out of line..anyway I have a blind old hen who is active doesn't lay anymore...

    Personally, Meyers or Cackle ..and I will NEVER get oegbantams except from a breeder,preferably within driving distance or purchase a breeding pair or trio,shipped as adults ( exceeding expensive to ship, but I've begun to believe that,like seramas they are just too fragile to ship as chicks)

    Meyers absolutely puts heat packs, sometimes several..you have to pull the matting up there are always heat packs..I've had multiple orders heading to the deep south and always have heat packs ( it don't do orders in late spring or summer ends badly due to too much heat)

    Is it true that a Serama can be kept in a large parrot cage?

    I havevmine in an extra large dog crate with lots of activities, swings they go out most days from 11 until sundown in a outdoor dog pen 12x12 that has been predator proofed..they can eat bugs dirt bath etc..I did have to add a dirt bath during the snow and hard freeze as I find they are not...
