Oh poor baby, I’m sorry that happened. When my scissor beak pigeon was at the vet once they trimmed her beak too short and she bled so much she aspirated on her own blood, and had to be put in a nebulizer. She recovered, but it was scary. I trimmed it myself from then on.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry! It is NOT illegal for you to have and raise her. Pigeons are non-native and considered feral. It’s just like rescuing a feral kitten. I am so sorry, I have had some horrible vets over the years, many just don’t feel pigeons are “worth it” which is so sad...

Okay good, that is a safe way to do so, and most similar to how a parent feeds. Other methods you risk aspiration. I use a tube directly into the crop but that takes some practice. Be sure there is enough formula in the syringe, so that the beak can stay fully covered, otherwise he will take in...
