Can I move my broody ducks nest?

Thanks for the reply! That's what I was afraid of. I think we'll try to fence her off in the coop as best we can!

Can I move my broody ducks nest?

Hi all! We have a saxony duck that has been incubating eggs for around 20 days. Her nest is currently in the coop and she's not separated from the rest of the flock. Is it possible to move her nest to an area away from the rest (specifically the drakes)? We have an area in the garage that we...

Is there something wrong with my duckling??

She's been on the liquid B complex probably just over a week and we've been adding poultry cell to their water. Peanut will be 6 weeks on Monday. Today she weighed just over 500g, but the next smallest one is at about 1150g. She seems to be a little more with it, but we're still just worried...

Is there something wrong with my duckling??

Update: I don't think Peanut is getting much better. She's been consistently at around 470 grams the past week and hasn't gained anything. We kept her separate with her own special food and water and today she only ate 4 grams of food. She also has started doing this thing where she puts her...

Is there something wrong with my duckling??

Thanks we were able to pick up some supplements today. I believe they're eating Purina 19% protein with nutritional yeast added.

Is there something wrong with my duckling??

We do see her eat and drink. And we've seen her poop so we ruled out that as an issue. She just seems a bit slow in the head if that makes sense? Where do you buy poultry cell and liquid b complex?

Is there something wrong with my duckling??

Hi all! We got some birds from Metzer farms a few weeks ago, they're just over 4 weeks old. One of our Saxony ducks is almost half the size of the others and acts kind of weird. A lot of times she just stands there not doing anything. She doesn't go in their pool by herself and if we put her in...

    Duck eye infection or injury?

Sorry I meant to reply yesterday but obviously forgot! It's doing much better, we think it must have gotten scratched somehow. He kept it closed for about a day, but it started looking better after we treated him. We don't think he has any lasting damage since he can see us with that eye.

    Duck eye infection or injury?

Thank you! We rinsed his eye and put some ointment on so hopefully he'll get better!

    Duck eye infection or injury?

Hi! We noticed today one of our welsh harlequins was keeping its eye closed. Upon further inspection the eye is dark red and seems to have a little discharge around it. Is this an infection or possibly an injury? What would we do to treat it? Second picture is another duck's eye for reference.

    Welsh Harlequins Male or Female?

We have four Welsh Harlequins just over 6 weeks old. We thought they were all males based on coloration, but I'm pretty sure I heard one of them quack. They don't make much noise except for chirping so it's hard to tell based on voice. Do females sometimes start out dark like this or are they...
