Illia is correct, they aren't actually a breed, they are a cross between a dark egg layer, usually marans, but sometimes wellsummer or penedesenca and a blue/green egg layer, ameraucana, araucana or easter egger.

Dutch silkies are just Silkies that were imported from the Netherlands, they are bred to a different standard, usually have a smaller top knot, and they come in Bantam and Standard sizes, unlike the American Silkie.

I would have to agree with Kate's comment, hatchery birds are completely different birds from standard bred RIR, look for a quality breeder and there are some great RIR's out there.

I did not breed these, they were hatched from purchased eggs. I believe they came from a large breeding pen with multiple roosters and hens. I feel certain they at least came from different hens. I can't say for certain how closely related they are.
