a little update! I am thrilled to say that we were able to move the original coop intact (well, we did remove all the doors and windows to get the weight down, but all of those can be reattached very easily!)
It is HEAVY. It took 6 strong adults to move it, but it is ready for its final clean...
there are a ton of options, but I want to add a plug for an animal playpen. I got mine for about $40 on Amazon, it is a good amount of space, zips closed, tent & mesh material - I add hemp to the bottom and just change it out every couple weeks. I use a radiant heat panel for my heat source...
For those wondering, I am still nailing down the final color selections... I am really leaning toward the blue/peach combo. I LOVE the yellow door idea, don't get me wrong, I just can't let go of the peachy pink. Hoping to nail it down and start painting this weekend.
I'll let you know what...
That blue is so pretty and bright, and even though your current colors are more tame, the wooden doors are sooo pretty. They really look clean & classy with the white trim! Color matching is so hard to do, but you could really tie them together nicely with some wood accents on the smaller coop...
LOVE the vibrant red, I definitely strongly considered a variety of different reds too! The barn look is just so perfect for a chicken coop, I love yours!!
My current coop is a sagey green color, so I am right there with you! I really think you cant go wrong with green, as it's the most natural color there is!
yeah, I am somewhat limited in my options for exteriors I can play with on this paint website, the accents on the coop would be smaller than the garage doors, but this is really just to see the colors together. The rest of the house in the image had too much brick, which was kinda throwing off...
ok, I went down the rabbit hole on a paint brand website where yu can "paint" exteriors to get the visual... Bear with me, I know this is a garage, but you'll see the vibe...
I am leaning toward a blueish main color with colorful accents - I just cant decide between peachy or buttery yellow...
I do my integrations differently, but have had good success also.
I have a penned in area in my chicken run (I will grab a photo later today) where the babies are in the run with the flock, but completely safe from them. I bring them out to this space around 4-5 weeks. They spend 2 weeks...
