Ok I just took the eggs out and cracked them. All infertile no growth atall. I am pretty pleased with my homemade incubator. 5 eggs hatched out of 6 fertile ones. I'm going to order another dozen and set them I think.

I had trouble candling the eggs as they're mottled. I will leave them in tonight and see if there are any signs in the morning. I didn't candle them from the start so they could potentially be infertile. However I did see 1 rock slightly

Still no pipping or movement. It's 24 hours since the first ones pipped

None pipped yet. It is fan assisted. I measured a few spots before setting eggs and it was fairly even.

I have 5 babies hatched out now. The first egg that pipped the chick died inside. I have 6 eggs left that have not yet pipped. Can they go a few days before making an appearance?

Still no rolling just some churping no more eggs pipes either I hope I wake up to chicks

Can still only see 3 pipped I just sprayed the space around the eggs avoiding the pipes holes. The humidity has risen to 67% and instantly heard chicks churping again. Fingers crossed I am going to wake up to a bator full of healthy chicks. I'm in the UK it's now 19.00

I'm a bit concerned 3 have pipped the one that pipped first which was rocking and I could hear the chick in through the bator has stopped any movement noise. I last heard it at 13.00. Will it be resting or has something happened. My humidity is 55% should I mist the eggs?

Right on time day 16 my button quail eggs are pipping I see one properly pipped and rocking let's hope the other 11 start!

I'm just keeping a close eye on the eggs looking for any rocking or pipping. Out of 12 eggs I'm hoping for at least 6 birds.

The humidity has increased to 60% from 45%. I am going to leave the eggs now and not open the incubator again.hopefully I will have chicks in a couple of days :)
